The film is based on true events that occurred during the civil war in the Central African Republic in 2013. It follows Linn, a 35-year-old aid worker leading a team at a Doctors Without Borders field hospital near a massive refugee camp. On Christmas Eve, a desperate Muslim man seeks refuge in the hospital, pursued by a Christian militia demanding his surrender. Linn faces a critical decision, balancing the safety of her team with the value of a single life.
