Music of the Day: Eades - Did You Read The News?

Eades is a five-piece band originating from Leeds, formed in 2019 by singer and guitarist Harry Jordan and Tom O'Reilly. Their music is often described as DIY 'post-punk'. Eades gained recognition as one of NME's Top 100 artists to watch at the end of 2021.   

Their song, "Did You Read The News?", was released on April 10, 2025, coinciding with the announcement of their signing to Breakfast Records. This single is also the first track to be revealed from their upcoming second album, "Final Sirens Call". According to lyricist Tom O'Reilly, "Did You Read The News?" explores the feeling of living on autopilot and not fully engaging with the constantly changing world.
