Writer's picture: dailyentertainment95dailyentertainment95

Bruise Control is a punk rock band based in Manchester, UK, known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blends 2000s indie with 1980s hardcore influences. The band consists of vocalist Jim Taylor, guitarist Niall Griffin, bassist Ru Gilfillan, and drummer Tommy Morris. Their single "Left Behind," released on October 25, 2024, addresses the rapid urban development in Manchester and the resulting loss of the city's character. The song was inspired by the closure of Brunswick Mill, a creative space that provided rehearsal rooms for independent bands. Frontman Jim Taylor explains that the track "rejects the monoliths of metal and glass, which are bulldozing the character of Manchester and cities all over the world."
