Doss is an electronic post-punk trio from Glasgow, Scotland, comprising Sorley Mackay, Mark Black, and Chilton Fawcett. Their music combines hard-hitting drumbeats, trudging basslines, and sharp, tongue-in-cheek lyricism, addressing themes such as gentrification, addiction, zero-hours contracts, and generational trauma, all delivered in a distinctive Glaswegian dialect. Initially a solo project by Sorley Mackay, Doss originated in a modest bedroom studio, creating electrifying tracks with minimal equipment. The project evolved into a full band, gaining recognition for high-energy live performances and headlining sold-out shows across major UK and European cities. Their debut EP, Bootlicker, was released in 2024, featuring tracks like "King of the Castle," which critiques the self-obsessed nature of social media.
