The story is set in a small rural village in Calabria during the 1940s, right after World War II. It follows Marta, a young single mother promised in marriage to a man she does not love, and Lorenzo, a gay man known as "the wedding organizer." Their friendship leads them to challenge the community's prejudices and fight to find their place in the world. The film premiered at the Bari International Film Festival, where it won awards for Best Director and Best Actress, with Ludovica Martino portraying Marta.
